People who follow a vegan diet AMAZE me. Honestly, how do they do it. I CANNOT live without yogurt, cheese and white bread (and chicken and eggs and soap and makeup). I'm one of those people who believes that all beings are equal except for chickens, rats and eels (those things are creepy). So I have no problem eating chicken, no problem using rats for science experiments and no problem if eels become extinct.
Really, I wonder. How can one truly live without mango lassi?
All this soy business stuff is no good either. All the dairy products get substituted with soy. Mmmmmmm...that sounds...ummm...enticing, I guess. Seriously, how can a veganer live without gold medal ribbon ice cream from Baskin Robbins every now and then. How can you live without pizza?!?!?! (Or should I ask, how can you possibly eat that soy cheese stuff). Live I say! Live! Go ahead and have a glass of milk. You won't go to hell for it! You probably won't even end up in purgatory either.
I was a vegetarian for twelve years. I was pretty strict about it but I ended up eating too many carbs. I also got tired of the same veggies and wanted something meaty to chew on. At a friend's party, I reached for some yum Thai stir-fry and accidentally bit on a heavenly little piece of curried shrimp. It was scrumptious. From then on, I no longer felt sorry for little fishies.
Cheese..it does a body good..
