so much Felicity,
Ecstasy,
I can't help fear that my chest will split open.
and that I may die of Happiness.
Once in a while, I stroll down the hiking paths of nature and
I ask God what I have done to deserve these Eyes -
eyes that have the ability to see the majesty of Mother Nature,
the splendor of Life's Roses and Thorns.
What have I done to earn the total Bliss that comes from
listening to birds sing songs of Tranquility.
beneath every leaf and stone I turn over on the ground with the
toe of my shoe, I find a Love Offering -
No matter what Path I choose in this Life,
no matter how long it takes toward my Goals,
I know I can always take a break at the roadside.
I can stop and sit for a time on a boulder and
watch the Sun set in the Mountains.
Maybe I can ask the Horizon for a story.
Most importantly, I know I can kiss the clouds with the
glimmers of my eyes and say a prayer of Gratitude.
For at the end of every long journey, there is another
yet to be started.
And as I near the end of a Journey of a long Dark Night,
I rest in Peace on a rust-colored Boulder and
say from deep within the crevices of my ancient Heart -
Thank you.
